Finally, the day has arrived: we’re off! Claude, can’t wait to see you! Brazzaville, here we come!

Flying Ethiopian Airlines, a first for me. It’s going to be a rather lengthy journey, compared with the Air France route we normally take. Oh well, as long as we get there… I say, almost forgetting how super frustrating the past six trips have been. Lost luggage on three flights in a row followed by being put on stand-by on the next three flights, one of which ended up being a case of denied boarding. Hoping for better luck this time…

And, so far so good. Have just checked in with Lufthansa in Helsinki and all went smoothly. So, ready for our first leg to Frankfurt, then on to Addis and finally about 18 hours later we should arrive in Brazzaville!
